Northwestern wants to tell your story

Employees within Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Office of Recruitment and University Relations need the help of current students and employees, future students and alumni as they prepare to produce recruitment materials for the coming year.

“We’re looking for your story,” Carly Williams, director of recruitment, said. “We want to hear why you came to Northwestern, what it is about the University and its people that make you love it here, and how the University is helping you to live your dream. We also want to see this story through your photos.”

Anyone wishing to participate by allowing the University to use photos and information should start sending their items to as soon as possible. People can also use Twitter and Instagram to get that information out, but are asked to use the hashtag #NWMyStory so it can be found through search. Examples of what has been submitted already can be found by searching that hashtag on Twitter.

“We just want the story of Northwestern to be authentic for those who are considering attending here, so what better way to accomplish that than through their own words and photos,” Williams said.

“Photos and comments can span over the entire school year, so start looking through your albums to find those photos that you’ve already shared with friends and post them again with the hashtag or email them to us. Bahama Breakaway also is a good time to show a fun time at Northwestern, as well as graduation and just living in the dorm or eating in the cafeteria. We’re looking forward to seeing what everyone has to offer.”
