Northwestern to have first transfer showcase March 7, transfering students can qualify for $500 scholarship

Northwestern Oklahoma State University will play host to its first Transfer Showcase event Saturday, March 7, at 10 a.m. in the Student Center in Alva.

Any student interested in transferring to the Alva campus is welcome to attend and will have the opportunity to tour the campus, get to know the university, meet faculty and student organization representatives and get all questions answered first-hand. In addition, every transfer student in attendance will be awarded a $500 scholarship to Northwestern-Alva should they attend the university in the fall and live in Alva. Students also must meet all scholarship eligibility requirements.

 Registration is from 10-11 a.m. in the Student Center Wyatt Room with a Welcome to begin at 11 a.m. in the Student Center Ballroom (second floor). Those attending will have the opportunity to visit with members of campus clubs, organizations and academic departments.  Campus tours will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will continue in 15-minute increments until 12:45 p.m.  Lunch will be provided in the Student Center Snack Bar from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.  A detailed itinerary is listed at www.nwosu.edu/transfer-showcase.  

Those attending also will get their application fee waived, a free Northwestern T-shirt and free admission to the Ranger baseball and softball games, both which start at noon.
