As a requirement for Dr. Aaron Place’s Biological Evolution course at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, students are giving lectures on the topic of evolution on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. in the Science Amphitheatre.
Place is an associate professor of biology at Northwestern and believes that students can provide valuable information about the truth of evolution to people who may want to learn more about the world around them.
Students will be presenting short lectures in the first of a three-part series on the acts, course and mechanisms of evolution. The first set of lectures will focus on the evidence supporting biological evolution.
This lecture series is free and open to the public.
