Britainee Clark, Woodward senior, appointed as the Northwest Branch Chair of the NASW-OK 2014-15 Board of Directors.
Britainee Clark, Woodward senior, recently was appointed as the Northwest Branch Chair to serve on the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers’ (NASW-OK) 2014-2015 Board of Directors.

NASW is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world and works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social practices.

“It is an honor to represent my region of social workers and the social issues and needs of northwest Oklahoma,” Clark said. “I couldn’t have done it without the help of the Northwestern social work program.”

“Northwestern currently has two social work students serving on the NASW-OK Board of Directors,” Dr. Kylene Rehder, Department of Social Work Chair, said. “Ms. Clark will provide great leadership to the board. It is always an excellent opportunity when students can apply practice skills, theory, research and policy analysis before graduation.”

Following graduation, Clark plans to pursue a master's degree in social work from the University of Oklahoma, specializing in direct practice and childhood trauma.
