Northwestern nursing graduates to be 'pinned'

Northwestern Oklahoma State University nursing graduates will receive their traditional pins in a ceremony at 6 p.m., Friday, May 7, in Herod Hall Auditorium. Nineteen students will be recognized that evening.

Pamela K. Lake, MSN, RN, will speak during the ceremony. Lake graduated from Texas Women’s University and has worked in various roles in the nursing field.

Dr. Carole McKenzie, chair of the Division of Nursing, will present the pins. All faculty will participate in the ceremony and will recite with the students the Modern Florence Nightingale Pledge.

Nursing graduates are Wendy Bersche, Kirsten Cornett, Aryka Harding-Knous, Whitney Judd, Antony Nduati, all of Alva; Celia Brown, Lahoma; Shelby Carey, Pond Creek; Amber Doyle, Emily Ediger, Radona George, Natalia Montoya-Melnicoff, Lisa Palmer, Lisa White, all of Enid; Maggie May Lamle, Columbia, Mo.; Samantha Simons, Ringwood; Amber Smith, Woodward; Tony Stolzy, Tulsa; Haylee Weedn, Mary Esther, Fla.; and Ruian Yang, China.
