Northwestern men's basketball coaches to host clinic for colleagues

Northwestern head coach Andrew Brown during the SAC championship game in 2011.ALVA (9-13-11) — Area basketball coaches have an opportunity to learn from their colleagues as Northwestern Oklahoma State is hosting a basketball coaches clinic on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Registration for the event will begin at 9:15 on the morning of the clinic, with the various sessions beginning at 10. Lunch will be provided.

Speakers at the clinic will include: Corey Miller, head boy’s coach at Woodward High School; Brett Weiberg, head men’s coach at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa; Doug Schumpert, head boy’s basketball coach at Anadarko High School; and Northwestern head coach Andrew Brown.

The sessions will include detailed discussions, film study and on floor demonstrations, with the assistants of Ranger basketball players.
