“A Century of Ranger Pride” has been selected as the theme of Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s 2009 homecoming celebration, Oct. 22-24.
The theme was devised by members of the Northwestern/Alva Homecoming Association and must be used by any club or organization entering the float, spirit sheet sign and dorm decoration contests.
Phil Prigmore, of Alva, has been selected as parade marshal for the homecoming parade.
Once again the Committee received funding from the Alva Tourism Committee to increase float prize money. Prizes for first, second and third will remain at $200, $150 and $100, respectively. Campus organizations, as well as off-campus, non-profit organizations are encouraged to build a float.
