Ranger Statue with Jesse BuildingNorthwestern Oklahoma State University is fourth on a list of the top 30 Most Attractive Yet Affordable College Campuses across the nation compiled by Affordable Schools, a leading online higher education resource that helps adults of all ages and backgrounds make smart, higher education choices.

According to the website, “…our mission is to highlight the schools in higher education which do the best job of maximizing instructional quality while minimizing tuition costs.”

Affordable Schools ranked the top 30 colleges it found that offer costs that are below the national average and at the same time deliver visually stunning campuses.

Affordable Schools commented on Northwestern’s in-state and out-of-state costs, as well as its buildings including Herod Hall, Jesse Dunn and the Fine Arts Building.

"Once again, we're pleased to be recognized nationally as a university that is committed to quality, yet affordable education,” said Dr. Janet Cunningham, university president. “It is also gratifying to be recognized for the beauty of our historical Alva campus. We have made significant progress in recent years and will continue to provide an even better learning environment for students in years to come."

Northwestern also has been ranked among the region’s leading universities by U.S. News & World Report as having the nation’s most affordable on-campus living, and as a leader in lowest student debt upon graduating.
