Northwestern Foundation Release
At the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation’s Annual Meeting, CEO Skeeter Bird announced the Northwestern Foundation received a record amount of dollars in support of the university and its students. More than 800 donors gave $4,414,319 during the 2012 fiscal year, from July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012.
“It has been another amazing year for our Foundation, thanks to all of our generous donors,” Bird said. “I would also like to thank our staff and board for their commitment and dedication to our students and university. I consider myself extremely blessed to be surrounded by so many talented and passionate individuals that make the Foundation, Alumni Association and university’s missions occur so seamlessly.”
Support gathered in fiscal year 2012 surpassed the previous record of $3.5 million raised in fiscal year 2011. At the end of the fiscal year, the Northwestern Foundation’s total assets added up to $21,600,002. The 11 percent increase in assets marks the first time Foundation assets have topped $20 million.
The mission of the Northwestern Foundation is to bond donors’ passions with Northwestern’s success. For more information or to invest in Northwestern students, contact Bird at 580-327-8599 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
