Members from the Student Oklahoma Education Association (SOEA) and the Psychology Club at Northwestern Oklahoma State University joined together prior to Thanksgiving for a Food Drive to benefit the local food pantry. Members set up boxes across campus and collected food donations at the Nov. 21 basketball game. Around 200 food items were delivered to Dora Fogelstrom (right), local director for Opportunities, Inc., on Nov. 24. Making the delivery are Dr. Beverly Warden, associate professor of education; Dr. Karen Linstrum, assistant professor of psychology; Helena junior Kasya Frech, Psychology Club president; Alva senior Trent Spade, Psychology Club member; and Alva sophomore Robyn Walker, SOEA president. Opportunities, Inc., 326 7th St., in Alva, is part of the Ministerial Alliance in Woods County. Anyone in need in Woods County can benefit from the services provided by Opportunities, Inc.
