Northwestern Choir Presenting Interactive Concert

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Choir, comprised of the University Singers, the Choral Scholars, and the Concert Choir, will be performing a concert titled “Trivial Pursuit” Nov. 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Alva at 7:30 p.m.

The theme for this fall concert is spontaneity, fun and good times. The choirs will perform a variety of music ranging from the Romantic era to contemporary, Dr. Irene Messoloras, director of choral activities and vocal studies and assistant professor of music, said.

“Our audience can expect lots of participation throughout the concert,” Messoloras said. “The audience will be asked to ‘Name That Tune,’ play ‘Jeopardy,’ ‘The Price is Right’ and ‘Deal or No Deal.’ We’ve selected your favorite board games and television game shows and incorporated them into an interactive concert featuring great music, wining prizes and more.”

The concert is free and open to the public.
