Dr. Jerry Gustafson, professor of business at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, recently returned from Dallas, Texas, where he gave a presentation titled “An Analysis of the Trading of Short Bull Put Vertical Credit Spreads using Long Term Equity AnticiPation Security (LEAPS)” to the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines (IABPAD).
“The paper is a culmination of a stock options trading strategy I started developing a year ago and began implementing last July,” Gustafson said. “In developing this strategy I spoke to 89 different world class traders over a period of three years. Speaking to them helped to learn the practical side of trading stock options.”
Presenters from all over the world discussed various areas of finance, business education, administration, accounting, economics and international business. The IABPAD conference had representation from 120 colleges and universities and 15 countries from around the world.
“With the Division of Business’ accreditation, as faculty, we are expected to do continued research,” Gustafson said. “This was an analysis of actual trades I made using from July 1, 2013, to April 20, 2014.”
Gustafson’s presentation at this international conference will result in a publication with IABPAD and will benefit Northwestern’s Division of Business in continuing its national accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
