    September 5, 2012 -- Paying tribute to a Ranger Band alumnus who died in June are members of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Ranger band during a practice session the week before the start of the fall semester.

  • Benefit Bake sale for Bradley planned for June 2; other fundraisers planned

    May 29, 2012 -- A Benefit Bake Sale for Bradley Gilbert, a 2007 Northwestern Oklahoma State University mass communications graduate from Enid, is planned by the NWOSU Art Society (NAS) for Saturday, June 2, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in front of Holder Drug in downtown Alva. Gilbert has been fighting leukemia since shortly after his graduation from Northwestern.

  • Warm-hearted blood donors needed Dec. 2

    November 28, 2011 - Northwestern Oklahoma State University invites all warm-hearted students and Alva area residents to give blood 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, in the Student Center Ranger Room.  The importance of this credit-to-patient blood drive is to lend a hand to one of its own who is battling leukemia.   

  • Northwestern blood drive to help fellow Ranger

    The importance of Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Fall Blood Drives Oct. 4-6 is hitting close to home again as the university community reaches out to help one of its own through blood donations. Bradley Gilbert, a 2007 mass communications graduate from Enid, has battled leukemia for four years. After being in remission, the leukemia is back, and Gilbert will be in need of several blood products as he goes through his treatment. He’s currently receiving treatment at the OU Medical Center-Presbyterian Tower in Oklahoma City.
