    April 2, 2013 -- On Wednesday, April 17, Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumni and friends are invited to watch the Rangers take on Southern Nazarene University in a nine-inning baseball matchup at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid. The 6 p.m. game is part of Northwestern’s eighth annual Enid-area alumni spring event, Baseball, Hot Dogs & Apple Pie.

  • Northwestern baseball coach receives Reichenberger award

    November 6, 2012 -- Donovan Reichenberger presented Ryan Bay, Northwestern Oklahoma State University head baseball coach, with the Donovan Reichenberger Fundraising Award at the Northwestern Foundation Donor Appreciation Dinner. Bay, the third to be honored with the award, was recognized for solidifying a gift of $346,913 from the Glass family. This gift allowed the baseball team to receive new artificial turf on the infield at Myers Stadium before the start of their spring season.

  • Loyd Stout endows Ranger baseball scholarship

    June 5, 2012  -- Loyd Stout (left) and Skeeter Bird, Northwestern Foundation CEO, complete plans for the Loyd Stout Baseball Scholarship at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.Northwestern Oklahoma State University students will once again benefit from the support of Loyd Stout, a former Northwestern baseball, basketball and football standout. Stout endowed the Loyd Stout Baseball Scholarship, which will provide financial assistance to Northwestern continuing students on the baseball team.

    Students from Acacia, Delta Zeta, Alpha Sigma Alpha and the baseball team at Northwestern Oklahoma State University recently helped put up Christmas lights and displays on Alva’s downtown square.

  • Northwestern to dedicate Myers Stadium on April 17

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University will officially dedicate its new baseball facility – Myers Stadium – in pregame ceremonies on Saturday, April 17. Festivities begin at 12:30 p.m., with introductions, acknowledgements, the ceremonial first pitch and the singing of the National Anthem. The Rowdy Rangers will provide complimentary hot dogs while they last.

    On Tuesday, April 6, Northwestern Oklahoma State University will take on East Central University in a nine-inning baseball matchup at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid. The 2010 Ranger team includes Enid High School graduates junior Clint Dodds and junior Richard Burdick.

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s baseball facility officially has a new name that will serve as a legacy to one of Alva’s legendary families. The regents of the Regional University System of Oklahoma approved Northwestern’s request to name its baseball facility Myers Stadium at its meeting on June 19 in Edmond.
