Dr. Mike Knedler, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, directs the band consisting of members from the current Ranger band, alumni, and Alva and Hennessey Public Schools.
The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Ranger band had nearly 80 members for the “Bedlam Ranger Style” basketball game against arch rival Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Jan. 22 in Percefull Fieldhouse.
Alumni Cara Bradt, band director with the Alva Public Schools, and Adam Steuart, band director in Hennessey, brought large portions of their bands to join other Northwestern alumni and current band members to play for the evening and watch the Lady Rangers and Ranger men win their games.
Dr. Mike Knedler, long time Northwestern band director and current dean for the School of Arts and Sciences, also took a few turns directing the band during the evening.
For more information on how to become a member of the Ranger band and the participation scholarships available, contact Dr. Kenneth Drobnak, director, at (580) 327-8191 or email@example.com.
