Since 1981, Dr. Fred Jungman, professor of economics at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has served the university and its students in the areas of social sciences and business, and recently was named the John Sheffield Teacher of the Year.

Six Northwestern Oklahoma State University seniors receiving the Outstanding Senior Award are among the award recipients at this year’s Spring Reunion Day Awards Ceremony April 30 at 5:15 p.m. in the Student Center Ranger Room on the Alva campus. A committee selected Chrystal Benson, Crystal Herber, Vince Lauderdale, Xin Xin Liu, Kasya Spade and Grayson Starbuck as 2011 Outstanding Seniors.

A series of forums will be held in Alva, and presented by faculty members from the social sciences department at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  J.W. Platt, instructor of history, will facilitate each forum.  All forums are free and open to the public and will be held at the Alva City Library at 7 p.m.
