Northwestern to close for Independence Day holiday; Freshman Funday set for July 15

Northwestern Oklahoma State University will be closed Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4, to celebrate the Independence Day holiday.

All offices will be closed, and no classes will be in session during this time. Normal summer business hours will resume on Wednesday, July 5.

Summer hours of 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. will officially end on Thursday, July 27. Normal Monday-Friday business hours will start Monday, Aug 1, at all campus locations.

Freshman Funday, a fun event for incoming freshmen to take care of paperwork prior to the start of school, is Saturday, July 15, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Students who bring a friend who has not yet enrolled at Northwestern will qualify both students to receive a $100 scholarship for the fall 2017 semester, which begins Monday, Aug. 21. Students can also take part in the Northwestern Bookstore “selfie challenge” for a chance to win $250 gift card to the bookstore.
