New Staff Orientation Held at Northwestern

Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Staff Council held its second New Staff Orientation session on Aug. 7, where new staff members learned about different aspects of the university and also became acquainted with university procedures and personnel.

Similar to Northwestern’s New Faculty Orientation, relevant information for staff was used at the orientation. New staff received handouts about university activities and other inter-office related procedures, as well as the use of university logos and business office procedures.

New staff members who participated in New Staff Orientation were Bill McDonald, maintenance; Katrina Nirider, Enid nursing secretary; Kathy McDonald, J.W. Martin Library circulation desk assistance; Beth Robertson, Alva nursing secretary; Jennie Olson-Jones, coordinator, Ketterman Skills Nursing Lab in Enid; Danny Zarrella, systems analyst for information technology; Mary Shocklee, maintenance; and Donna Abbott, maintenance.

Northwestern’s Staff Council members are Lisa Herning, chair and library assistant; David Washington, chair-elect and carpenter; Denise Bay, secretary and special events coordinator; members Natalie Miller, assistant certification officer; Fawn Kingcade, assistant bursar; Rita Castleberry, loan coordinator; Karlista Greenfield, financial aid assistant; Lindsey Weber, Enid fiscal assistant; and Angelia Case, instructional media technician.
