    September 16, 2015--The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation will hold its Annual Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24. 

  • Family, friends establish Irish and Loyce Erikson Agriculture Scholarship

    November 5, 2014 -- 4Irish and Loyce Erikson understood the importance of education and insisted that each of their children complete a college education. Irish attended Northwestern back in the late 1930s but was unable to finish his degree due to work and family responsibilities. Although Loyce did not attend college, she was very supportive of her children finishing their degrees. Knowing how important education was to their parents, Irish and Loyce’s children established the Irish and Loyce Erikson Agriculture Scholarship in their memory.

  • 75th anniversary screening of Wizard of Oz Aug. 28 in Herod Hall

    August 20, 2014-- Friends and alumni of Northwestern Oklahoma State University and members of the Alva and surrounding communities are invited to a special screening of “The Wizard of Oz” in celebration of the film’s 75th anniversary, Thursday, Aug. 28, in Herod Hall Auditorium, Alva campus. Moviegoers will be treated to free snow cones from Frosty Joe’s from 6 to 7 p.m. The movie will begin at 7 p.m.

    August 17, 2014 -- The Northwestern Foundation and Alumni Association has launched a new-and-improved version of its website.

  • New education scholarship established in honor of Marguerite Johnson

    December 19, 2013--A new education scholarship has been established through the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation in honor of the late Marguerite D. Johnson.  The award was established by family to recognize her family values and passion for young people.  According to her family, she made a huge impact on countless young people. 

  • Inspired alumnus endows language arts scholarship

    April 29, 2013 -- It is on rare occasions that special people come into others’ lives for just a fleeting moment and profoundly inspire them to make a difference. That is exactly the effect that Judith “Judy” Jenlink had on David Bradley, a Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumnus and former faculty member from Stillwater. In fact, Jenlink, who passed away in February 2012, so inspired Bradley that he established the Judy Jenlink Language Arts Scholarship at Northwestern to honor her memory.

  • Northwestern music scholarship honors memory of Joan Talley Fisher

    March 8, 2013 -- For Joan Talley Fisher, music was not just a hobby but a vocation that she pursued from a very early age. Beginning with piano and clarinet lessons, Fisher’s skills grew and she was able to help finance her college education by giving piano lessons.
