Miss Northwestern, Outstanding Teen to be crowned Sunday

On Sunday, Oct. 28, Miss Northwestern Oklahoma State University Carrie Bowers and Miss Outstanding Teen Kenzie Kraft will pass on their crowns to the two women who will be chosen to represent the university at the Miss Oklahoma Pageant in the coming year.

 

The Pageant will take place in Herod Hall Auditorium at 4 p.m. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

 

Tickets are still available to purchase at Holder’s Drug or Schuhmacher’s for $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Rachel Stewart, pageant director, also may be contacted at (580) 327-8178 or rsstewart@nwosu.edu to purchase tickets. Northwestern students get in free with a student ID.

 

Competing for the Miss Northwestern title are Ashton Blewitt, Helena freshman; Chelsay Adams, Woodward sophomore; Amber Seevers, Kinsley (Kan.) freshman; Tali McDonald, Alva junior; and Madison Bird, Alva sophomore. The title winner will go on to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant June 1-8, 2013, at the Mabee Center on the campus of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa.

 

Six are participating in the Outstanding Teen Pageant. They include Victoria Kimbrell of Enid; Kelsey Castle of Jet; Sage Sunderland, Taylor Hadwiger, Cheney Bird and Veronica Nelson all of Alva.
