Max Ridgway joined the NWOSU faculty as an Adjunct Instructor of Music in 1992, where he teaches Applied Guitar, Music Appreciation, Music Composition, Introduction to World Music.  He is also curently serving as Interim Director of the NWOSU Jazz Band.  

Max began his musical training on the piano at age five.  He participated in Middle and High School band, playing the French Horn. He has been active as a professional musician, composer and arranger. 

He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Professional Music, Summa Cum Laude, from Berklee College of Music, Boston, in May of 1990.  He received a Master of Education degree from NWOSU in May of 1992.   

Mr. Ridgway has performed as guitarist in a variety of musical settings including blues, rock, jazz, and classical.
