Dr. Nutter received a Bachelor of Science in Education with emphasis in Special Education from University of Central Oklahoma in December 1994. She received a Masters of Education, Secondary Education, from Northwestern Oklahoma State University July 2003. Dr. Nutter earned National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification in Special Education November 2005 and earned her doctorate in Exceptional Student Education in March 2011. Prior to her arrival at NWOSU in 2006, Dr. Nutter taught special education at Alva High School and was an adjunct instructor at NWOSU. Dr. Nutter is certified by the Oklahoma State Department of Education in special education areas of Learning Disabilities, Mentally Handicapped, PK-12, and Elementary Education. Her National Board Certification is Early Childhood through Young Adulthood Exceptional Needs Specialist. She received program completion in the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services Transition Specialty Program April 2001. Dr. Nutter believes all children can learn and reach their individual potential with the appropriate support, education and/or training.
