  • Northwestern to play host to entrepreneurship seminar

    Citizens of northwest Oklahoma will have an opportunity to participate in a two-day seminar titled, The Entrepreneurial Spirit . . . The Energy behind Enterprising Societies, on Feb. 17-18, at Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid. This seminar will focus on the importance of entrepreneurs in successful societies.

  • Pearl S. Buck to be featured in Winter Chautauqua

    Nationally known Chautauqua scholar Karen Vuranch of West Virginia will perform “Pearl S. Buck: A Good Life” as part of the Winter Chautauqua presented at Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m., in the commons area at the Enid campus, 2929 E. Randolph.
  • Evans, Fisher, Pecha serve in leadership roles outside of Northwestern

    Three employees at Northwestern Oklahoma State University not only serve in different leadership capacities on campus, but they also are serving in their community Chambers of Commerce. Dr. Cheryl Evans, Northwestern-Enid dean, serves as the Enid Chamber of Commerce chair; Dr. Deena Fisher, Northwestern-Woodward dean, currently is the vice president of the Woodward Chamber of Commerce; and David Pecha, vice president for administration, is the president of the Alva Chamber of Commerce.

  • Deadline approaching for Leadership Institute, Applications due May 10

    Educators have a short time left to enroll in Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s three-credit graduate summer session course “Leadership Across the Curriculum,” and to apply for the 2010 Academy for Educational Excellence, a program of the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center Leadership Institute.
