Lady Rangers win Warrior Invitational, Dixon finishes second

Womens' golf wins 2011 Warrior InvitationalHutchinson, Kan. – The Lady Ranger golf team picked up their first win of the year capping off a victory at the Warrior Invitational hosted by Sterling College at Carey Park Golf Course.

Amanda Dixon (77-80) had her fourth top five finish of the fall season, this time finishing second overall behind Chelsie Gausman of Kansas Wesleyan.

Brooke Carvell (88-90) also had a top five finish as she placed 5th overall.

The Lady Rangers opened with a team score of 359. On day two Northwestern improved by seven strokes to shoot a 352. Their two-day total accumulated 711.

Lindel Godfrey carded a 96-89-185, which put her in the top ten placing 7th overall. Jacey Ford had a top ten finish placing 10th overall with a 103-93-196. Kayla Peters finished with a 98-100-198, which put her in 11th place.
The Lady Rangers finished with a very strong fall season and have much to look forward to into the spring season. Spring tournaments will be announced at a later date.
