ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern’s Lady Ranger basketball team took an extra period, but did get their second win of the season after a 77-74 defeat of Bethany College (Kan.) at Percefull Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.
After being out shot by 15 percent, Northwestern scored 25 points off of turnovers while shooting 37 percent (30-of-82).
Autumn Klugh scored a season-high of 20 points with five treys to lead the Lady Ranger scoring attack. Claudia Vazquez followed with 18 points and Rachel Wilczek hit a pair of three-pointers on her way to 14 points.
Bethany shot 52 percent on the night and used a two-player combination to score 45 points. The Lady Swedes hit 13-of-22 from three.
Northwestern (2-1) will head to the Friends Classic in Wichita, Kan. on November 21-22.
