ADA, Okla. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State University softball team managed just two runs on the day falling to East Central 14-0 in five innings in the first game and 5-2 in game two.
Game One - Box Score
East Central scored five times in the second and nine times in the third to take control of the game.
Northwestern managed just two hits.
Cheyanne Terry singled in the fourth and Katie Glenn singled in the fifth.
Kellie Mason took the loss for the Lady Rangers (15-10).
Game Two - Box Score
The Lady Rangers mounted a little more offense in game two but it wasn't enough as head coach Cody Hooper's squad fell 5-2.
Things started off better for Northwestern as Jasmine Braxton led off the first inning with a single and eventually scored on an error by the second baseman on a ball hit by Monique Zevada.
East Central scored five unanswered runs off of Mason, who pitched a complete game giving up just three earned runs in the game.
The Lady Rangers mounted a small rally in the seventh inning. Megan Bourdon doubled to lead off and scored on a Tiger error to make the score 5-2. The next three Lady Ranger hitters made outs to end the game.
Glenn, Ali Seibel, Kelsey Ingram and Monica Jaramillo each added hits for Northwestern.
The Lady Rangers will play at Northwood (Texas) at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
