CHICKASHA, Okla. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State University women's basketball team got a huge win 81-60 over University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon.
Two consecutive threes by Audrey Richmond led an 8-1 run to take a seven-point lead with just over eight minutes to go in the first half. The Lady Rangers ended the half with an eight-point lead.
The team's momentum carried in to the second half as a 16-2 run opened the game up with 6:06 left. Northwestern cruised the rest of the way to the win.
Ronita Coleman had 15 points while shooting 7-for-8 from the field. Richmond finished with 12 while LaParis Newsom finished with 11 points.
Mandy Norman played a key role off the bench adding nine points. The Northwestern bench outscored USAO's 24-3 in the game.
NWOSU's most recent addition to the 1000 Point Club, Autumn Klugh, scored a team-high 19 points.
The Lady Rangers will travel to Texas to take on Wayland Baptist next Thursday.
