Milburn Barton, Northwestern Oklahoma State University women’s basketball head coach, announced the recent signing of Autumn Klugh of Fort Cobb. Cobb will join the Lady Ranger basketball team for the upcoming 2008-09 season.

A 5-7 guard, Klugh helped Fort Cobb High School to a state-runner up finish this past season. A member of the Daily Oklahoman Super Five team and named the Daily Oklahoman’s Class A State Tournament MVP, Klugh shot 49 percent (215/440) from the floor and was 40 percent (92/230) from three-point range, as she scored 679 points last season. She averaged 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 4.1 assists per game. In her four-year career, Klugh amassed 2,318 points, averaging 19.3 points per game.

Klugh earned numerous awards in her four seasons at Fort Cobb. She was named to the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association and Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State teams. Klugh was chosen for a variety of all-tournament teams throughout her four years.

Autumn was also recognized on the academic side, being named to the Oklahoma and National Honor Societies, the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, while being the class Valedictorian.
