Homecoming at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will finish with the sounds of music and dancing as the band Trader-Price performs during the official Homecoming dance on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The dance will be held inside the Merchant’s Building at the Woods County Fairgrounds from 8 p.m. to midnight.
“Our alumni have told us they wanted an activity on Saturday evening following the football game, so we chose to add a Homecoming dance to the schedule,” said Steve Valencia, chairman of the Homecoming committee. “We believe this will give people another reason to spend another night in Alva. Plus, it will be a nice end to a wonderful Homecoming celebration.”
Tickets for the dance are $12 each for reserved seating and $10 each for general admission. Reserved tables for eight are available for $100 and include reserved seating tickets. Tables must be reserved by Thursday, Oct. 22.
Tickets and tables are available by contacting the Northwestern Alumni Association at (580) 327-8593. Tickets also may be purchased by contacting Homecoming dance coordinators Joy Meier, Tena Martin or Dian Gourley. Contact Martin at (580) 829-2978 or Gourley at (580) 829-2674 to purchase tickets.
Champ’s Restaurant will be providing drink service at the dance.
Trader-Price is western Oklahoma’s premier live band and their combination of impeccable harmonies and energized performances has won the hearts of music fans and inspired the support of fellow performers like Reba McEntire and the late Roy Orbison.
Trader-Price consists of three brothers: Chris Price on guitar and keyboards, Dan on bass, and Erick on drums. The three Price brothers perform lead and harmony vocals. Larry Glance handles lead guitar and vocals.
