    May 2, 2016 – Seventeen Northwestern Oklahoma State University visual arts students will be exhibiting their work at the Graceful Arts Center through the month of May. The kickoff of their show will be May 6 during the First Friday Art Walk event, 6 to 8 p.m.

    March 31, 2015--A watercolor painting, a landscape photograph and an acrylic painting won the top honors in the 12th annual Northwestern Oklahoma State University Art Society (NAS) Art Show. All of the winning pieces will now move downtown for a special one day only show during the First Friday Art Walk on April 3.

    December 2, 2014 -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University will be well represented on Alva’s downtown square Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. for the annual First Friday Art Walk events.Three seniors in Northwestern’s Studio Art program will be showing their artwork at a Pop Up Gallery in the Knox Building on the north side of the square at 428 Flynn. Hanson Long of Waynoka, Natalie Malone of Moundridge, Kan., and Rabi Tamrakar from Kavre, Nepal, are the featured artists for their Senior Thesis Exhibition

  • Winning artwork on display at Runnymede Friday for Art Walk

    April 2, 2013 -- More than 100 pieces of the best artwork from the 10th annual Northwestern Oklahoma State University Art Society Art Show will be on display from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 5, at the Runnymede Hotel in downtown Alva during the annual First Friday Art Walk festivities. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served by the Nescatunga Ladies.

  • Homecoming Art Exhibition begins Friday; Poetry Reading Oct. 7 downtown

    September 27, 2011 - A Northwestern Oklahoma State University Homecoming Art Exhibition showing more than 40 pieces of art by more than 20 artists will be the first event in the new Graceful Arts Center in downtown Alva. The free show opens Friday with a reception for artists and the public from 7 to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
