Jason Hillman, director of student life and counseling at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has been selected to present at the Oklahoma Counseling Association Mid-Winter Conference on March 4-5 in Norman. The title of the presentation is “Animal Assisted Therapy.” Hillman will use his two dogs Niner and Tipper to demonstrate the benefits of animal assisted therapy during the seminar. Hillman has been working with Dr. Karen Linstrum, assistant professor in psychology, to learn more about this type of therapy. He received his master’s in counseling psychology in December.
