  • Enid restaurant owner to speak for women's history month

    March 15, 2013 -- Mary Buthman, owner and operator of Maria Raes Gourmet Foods in Enid, will serve as guest speaker for Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Heritage Celebration Series in honor of women’s history month. Buthman’s presentation, along with a product testing, begins at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at Northwestern-Enid, room 220.

    February 12, 2013 -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University Heritage Celebration Series presents Bruce. T. Fisher to speak on Monday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m., in room 220 at Northwestern-Enid, 2929 E Randolph. Fisher’s presentation, “Tracing Our Roots: African-American Experiences in Oklahoma,” will be delivered through ITV to Northwestern-Alva in Carter Hall, room 107, and Industrial Education, room 129; in Woodward, room 114, and in Ponca City, room 112.

    October 11, 2012 - David Castillo, president and CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, will speak at Northwestern Oklahoma State University on the topic of “Economic Impact of the Hispanic Community in Northwest Oklahoma” on Monday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m.

    February 8, 2012 -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University Heritage Celebration Series presents Bruce. T. Fisher to speak on Monday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. as part of Black History month. Fisher’s presentation, “Tracing Our Roots: Oklahoma’s Historically Black Towns Tour,” will be delivered through ITV from Northwestern-Enid room 202 to branch locations in Alva-Carter Hall room 107; Woodward-room 114; and Ponca City-room 119.

    In honor of Black History Month, the Heritage Celebration Series at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, presented by Bruce T. Fisher, will feature the “African American Experience: Buffalo Soldiers and the Civil War in Oklahoma.” Fisher will be speaking on Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. from Enid via ITV to Alva and Woodward locations..
