Dineo Heilmann is Adjunct Woodwind instructor at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Mr. Heilmann is also a full time instructor at Northern Oklahoma College and serves as Division Chair at NOC.

Mr. Heilmann received his Associate of Arts degree from Northern Oklahoma College, his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Oklahoma State University and his Master of Music Education degree from Wichita State University. While at OSU he was named the Outstanding Music Student his Senior year and while at WSU he was chose to perform in a Master class for Richard Stolzman.

At Northern, Mr. Heilmann serves as the Director of the “Roustabouts”. He has taken them to perform overseas in London, to record twice in Nashville and to perform seven times on Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruise ships. He has had the pleasure of conducting over 30 musicals while at NOC.

Throughout his career he has been named the Phi Beta Mu 1991 Outstanding Young Bandmaster, he has also been Clarinet soloist with the Northern Oklahoma College Gala Orchestra over 20 times performing some of his favorite concertos by Copland, Shaw, Finzi and Weber. One of the greatest highlights of his career include the Oklahoma Centennial Music for the Heart concert, appearing with Maestro Gerald Steichen and New York Philharmonic violist Dorian Rence, performing Schumann’s Märchenerzählungen.

His clarinet instructors include, Dr. Stanley Donald Green, Robert Anderson, and Dr. James Jones. The Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce named Mr. Heilmann Tonkawa’s 2016 Citizen of the Year.
