January 26, 2016

 Red Tie Jazz

Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumni and friends are invited to an evening of live music Thursday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodward Conference Center.

Hosted by the Greater Woodward Northwestern Alumni Task Force, Red Tie Jazz is an opportunity for alumni and friends to reconnect while enjoying wine, hors d’oeuvres and the sounds of the Northwestern Jazz Ensemble and University Singers.

The Northwestern Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Marc Decker, is the premier jazz band on the Northwestern Alva campus. The University Singers, conducted by Karsten Longhurst, is the premier, internationally recognized choral ensemble of Northwestern.

Dr. Deena Fisher serves as dean of the Woodward campus and encourages alumni and friends to attend the event.

“The Red Tie Jazz event is always so much fun and well attended,” Fisher said. “All friends of Northwestern are warmly welcomed with great food, great conversation and great entertainment. I hope you will join us on the evening of February 11.”

Admission to the event is free. In addition to wine and cheese, nonalcoholic beverages will be available. The Woodward Conference Center is located at 3401 Centennial Drive in Woodward.
