Two additional tracks prepare students for careers as Licensed Professional Counselors or as Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors.  (Click the link to view the plan of study for the M.C.P. degree, in MS Word format).

Students interested in the M.C.P program should contact Dr. Mark Davis for specific information about the program requirements, the application/interview process, and other pertinent information.

In addition to meeting the general requirements for admission to the NWOSU graduate program, the M.C.P. degree applicant must complete an application and interview process which includes (1) three letters of recommendation, (2) a written statement of career aspirations and self-evaluation, (3) a sample of scholarly written work, (4) an oral interview with the graduate faculty of the psychology department, and (5) a score that places the individual at the 25th percentile on two of the three areas (verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing) of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or at the 25th percentile on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT).  The application/interview process must be completed prior to enrolling in the tenth graduate hour.
