Checklist for Graduate Students Creativity & Innovation in Education EDUC 5010 Graduate Study Seminar LiveText Log-in (OLD) LiveText Log-in (NEW) Northwestern Creativity Project |
Anyone wishing to take graduate level courses at Northwestern must submit an official application for admission to the graduate school. Students who have never attended Northwestern must also apply for admission to the university through the Registrar's Office. A new student application fee of $15.00 is required. Students who are taking courses for personal or professional enhancement rather than seeking a degree must hold a baccalaureate degree and meet minimum conditional admission criteria, including a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.3, or a GPA of 2.5 in the last sixty hours attempted. Degree-seeking students must hold a baccalaureate degree and meet ONE the following standards:
Students who already hold a master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education will be admitted unconditionally. Degree-seeking students who are not eligible for admission based on the above criteria may seek conditional admission if they meet minimum conditional admission criteria, including a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.3, or a GPA of 2.5 in the last sixty hours attempted. Additionally, a recommendation from the academic dean of the proposed area of study is required. Additional prerequisite course work may be required of conditional admission students. The MAT test can be taken on the Alva campus by contacting Ms. Mistie Kline, Director of the Academic Assistance Center, at 580.327.8149; on the Enid campus, contact Ms. Lori Coonrod, Coordinator of Student Services, at 580.213.3147. *Regardless of the standard used for admission to graduate study, ALL graduate students must take EITHER the MAT test or the GRE test and have an official score in their student file. The score serves as an entry-level assessment for the master's degree program, as required for Northwestern's continued accreditation. |
