Freshman and Transfer Student Orientation Information

Freshman Orientation 2015
Aug. 15, 2015
Herod Hall Auditorium

Attendance is REQUIRED!

Classes begin Monday, Aug. 17, 2015

The Orientation schedule is as follows:

  • 8:00 a.m. -- Registration
  • 8:30 a.m. -- Program begins
  • 12:15 p.m. -- Event will conclude
  • Noon -- Coronado Cafeteria opens
  • 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. --
    • Optional:  Get Decal & Student ID (Fine Arts Building, Room 126)
    • Optional:  Set up E-mail, RangerNet, & Blackboard (Industrial Education Building, Room113)

Other incentives to attend:

  • FREE T-shirt
  • Visit with each campus club and organization
  • Get acquainted with the Ranger campus and students
  • Student IDs and Parking decals -- Bring vehicle make, model and tag number
  • Wellness Center orientation
  • RangerNet and Email access

The following offices will be open Saturday from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.:

  • Registry Office will be open to provide copies of class schedules and answer questions.  They will NOT be able to process enrollments or drop/add on that day.
  • Financial Aid Office will be open to accept paperwork and answer questions.
  • Business Office will be open to accept payments, Residence Hall deposits, and answer any questions.
  • Bookstore will be open to purchase books or Northwestern gear.

Don’t forget the Residence Halls open on August 13, 2015. Coronado Cafeteria will open Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Noon.

Transfer Student Orientation 2015
at Northwestern's campus sites in Alva, Enid and Woodward

The Orientation schedule is as follows:

  • Woodward, Thursday, Aug. 13, noon to 1 p.m., Campus Boardroom, Phillips Conference Room
  • Enid, Thursday, Aug. 13, noon to 1 p.m., Enid Commons Area
  • Alva, Saturday, Aug. 15, 1 to 3 p.m., Education Building, room 109

Students should attend to obtain information and services from the following areas:

  • Get acquainted with campus -- optional tours
  • RangerNet and student email accounts
  • Student IDs
  • Parking decals - Bring vehicle make, model and tag number
  • Wellness Center Orientation (Alva)
  • Discuss topics including: financial aid, ADA, tutoring, transcripts, academic policies, etc.
