ALVA, Okla. (12-22-11) – Receive one last holiday present on New Year’s Eve at Percefull Fieldhouse as the Northwestern Oklahoma State University men’s and women’s basketball teams re-ignite their conference season.
On Thursday, the Northwestern athletic department announced that general admission into the basketball doubleheader on Dec. 31 against Mid-America Christian would be free to those in attendance.
The two schools are scheduled to tip off a 3 p.m. on the Northwestern campus, with doors opening at 1:30.
On the men’s side, the Rangers enter the contest at 4-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference, while the Evangels bring in a 5-4, 0-4 record. After the first semester of play, the Lady Rangers (5-4, 2-2) are sitting in sixth in the Sooner Athletic Conference, and the Lady Evangels (7-3, 1-3) are in eighth.
The Northwestern men will have one contest before the New Year’s Eve matchup as they travel to Salina, Kan., for a date against Kansas Wesleyan on Dec. 28.
