Frascht resigns as rodeo coach

August 12, 2011

Shannon Frascht, head rodeo coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has submitted his resignation from the post.

Frascht became coach of the University’s successful rodeo team in January 2011. He informed university officials that he will pursue opportunities in the private sector.

Andy Carter, director of athletics, said the timing of Frascht’s departure, so close to the beginning of the fall semester, will create some challenges, but that the reputation of the program and the high level of community support for the sport, will allow the school to quickly fill the position with the highest quality coach.
