ALVA, Okla. - Camilo Baldelomar's three-run home run in the sixth inning powered the Northwestern Oklahoma State University baseball team to a 4-0 win over the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at Bill Smith Ballpark on Friday afternoon.
Baldelomar's home run, one of three hits he had in the game, made a winner out of Zac Floyd who dominated the Drover lineup throwing seven innings of two-hit ball. The senior fanned six Drovers.
Jordan Flittie threw a scoreless eighth while Derek Epps finished USAO off with a 1-2-3 ninth to secure the shutout.
Patrick Johnson's fourth inning single gave the Rangers (23-18, 11-9 Sooner Athletic Conference) a 1-0 lead.
Shortstop Trevor Long added two hits for the Rangers.
The Rangers will travel to Dallas for a four-game weekend series with Dallas Christian on Friday and Saturday. Tomorrow's games are slated for a 2 p.m. start.
