Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the J.R. Holder Wellness Center at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, members can become a part of the fitness challenge to help count down the days until Christmas.
In order to participate in the challenge and help the Methodist Church in Carmen, participants are encouraged to donate a new scarf, stocking hat, mittens or gloves to put on the Wellness Center tree. These items will provide warmth to those in need during the winter season.
The purpose of the challenge is to pick 12 days to exercise during Dec. 1-23, and enter for a chance to win a grand prize and help keep the Christmas spirit alive by helping those in need.
Each time participants exercise at the Wellness Center for 30 or more minutes, they will receive a sticker to put on a 12 Days of Fitness punch card. After the challenge, the card will be placed in a drawing that will take place Monday, Jan. 4, 2010.
Contact Shawna Copenhaver, director of the Wellness Center, at (580) 327-8105 or email@example.com with questions regarding the fitness challenge.
