Dr. Mike Knedler currently serves as chair of the Department of Fine Arts and dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  At Northwestern, he has served as Professor of Music, Director of Bands, and dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.  In addition to his administrative duties, Dr. Knedler serves as general manager of the Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series.  He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Phillips University, a Master of Music degree from Baylor University, and a Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma.  He has completed additional study at DePaul University, and is a graduate of the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education at Harvard University.  Dr. Knedler has served as an adjudicator and guest conductor in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Missouri, and has presented workshops at Pepperdine University, the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and for the Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences.
