Fine Arts Visit Day is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to visit Northwestern to find out about a career in music or theatre, and what it is like to study the arts at the college level, and even audition for scholarship opportunities. Fine Arts Visit Day is free, and is open to any high school student and their parents who is interested in a degree in music or theatre at the college level.

9:00-9:30: Registration
9:30-10:00: Welcome and Introduction of the Faculty
10:00-11:00: Interest Sessions
Session 1 (10:00-10:25)
-Getting ready for college auditions
-What do I do with a career in Theatre?
-Preparing for a career in Music Education
-Preparing for a career in Music Performance
Session 2 (10:30-10:55)
-What is really like being a theatre major
-What it’s really like being a music major
-Why should I continue to be involved with music after high school if I’m not going to be a major?
11:00-12:00: Lunch, tour of Fine Arts facilities and tour of campus
12:00-1:00: Sit-in on a rehearsal
