Blood donors can feel good knowing they are saving up to three lives with their donation at the Northwestern Oklahoma State University blood drive. Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) will be on campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, in the Student Center Ranger Room.
Donors at the blood drive also will have the opportunity to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by forgoing the t-shirt offered in appreciation for giving blood. In turn, OBI will make a monetary donation of similar value to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
All blood donors also will receive free health screenings and Donor Rewards Points.
“More than 150 hospitals across the state rely on us to provide every drop of blood for their patients,” said John Armitage, OBI president and CEO. “And thanks to groups like Northwestern, we are able to meet those daily needs at area hospitals such as Share Medical Center.”
