Ranger Research Day at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will take place on Friday, April 2. Entry deadline is Monday, March 29, and is open to Northwestern students and employees.
Registration and set-up begins at 7:30 a.m., in the Student Center Ballroom on the Alva campus. Poster judging will begin at 8:30 a.m. The public is welcome to view the research projects from 8:30 a.m. to noon. A brief awards ceremony will take place at noon.
To enter Ranger Research Day, students must submit a 100-150 word abstract along with a poster. Posters should include a brief abstract, a short introduction, aim(s) of the study, results and discussion. Student entries will not be allowed to participate without an appropriate faculty sponsor. Faculty members will be asked to confirm their sponsorship of a project.
Student poster presentations are eligible for awards. All entries will receive a certificate of participation, and researchers are encouraged to enter their projects in Oklahoma Research Day.
Ranger Research Day is a preliminary event to Oklahoma Research Day, a statewide/regional research event.
Anyone interested in taking part can find a registration form, list of research disciplines, copy of the evaluation form and the “Call for Abstracts” available online at www.nwosu.edu/ranger-research-day. All registration forms should be given to Dr. Rod Murrow, associate dean of graduate studies and director of research day, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For more information, please contact Camille Holt, director of sponsored programs who is serving this year as the assistant director of research day, at (580) 327-8110 or email@example.com.
