    September 25, 2014--Northwestern Oklahoma State University students from Oklahoma are encouraged to apply by Oct. 21 for a leadership opportunity in Oklahoma City March 13-17, 2015, as well as a $1,000 scholarship.               

  • Entrepreneur, leadership seminar at Northwestern Feb. 14-15

    February 7, 2013 --A free seminar on leadership traits of successful entrepreneurs will originate from Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid on Thursday, Feb. 14, from noon-8 p.m., and on Friday, Feb. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Diverse entrepreneur and leadership experts will be speaking from Northwestern-Enid, located at 2929 E. Randolph, room 218, over the course of the two-day seminar.

  • Lecture on leadership scheduled at Northwestern April 25

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Marvel Lectureship Series will present “Dr. Rufus Fears on Leadership” on April 25 at 7 p.m. in the Student Center Ranger Room on the Alva campus.

  • Evans, Fisher, Pecha serve in leadership roles outside of Northwestern

    Three employees at Northwestern Oklahoma State University not only serve in different leadership capacities on campus, but they also are serving in their community Chambers of Commerce. Dr. Cheryl Evans, Northwestern-Enid dean, serves as the Enid Chamber of Commerce chair; Dr. Deena Fisher, Northwestern-Woodward dean, currently is the vice president of the Woodward Chamber of Commerce; and David Pecha, vice president for administration, is the president of the Alva Chamber of Commerce.

  • Cunningham, Fisher selected as Oklahoma's leading women

    The Journal Record has selected two prominent women of Northwestern Oklahoma State University as recipients of the “50 Making a Difference” award for the state of Oklahoma. Dr. Janet Cunningham, university president, and Dr. Deena Fisher, Northwestern-Woodward dean, formally will be recognized at a gala event in October in Oklahoma City.

  • Deadline approaching for Leadership Institute, Applications due May 10

    Educators have a short time left to enroll in Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s three-credit graduate summer session course “Leadership Across the Curriculum,” and to apply for the 2010 Academy for Educational Excellence, a program of the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center Leadership Institute.

  • University administrators recognized for leadership

    Three Northwestern Oklahoma State University administrators were presented the Friends of Guidance Award by the Northwest Technology Center for their leadership role in Education 102, an educational activity through NWTC used to present career options to eighth graders in Alva and Fairview.
