Enrollment for the summer session at Northwestern Oklahoma State University is now open. Students are encouraged to complete the enrollment process as soon as possible to better ensure their choice of classes.
Enrollment for the summer session began Feb. 28 with online and printed class schedules available. The summer session will begin June 1 and end July 28. An interim session for short-term classes will be from May 10 to May 27. Fall classes will begin on Aug. 15. Enrollment for the fall semester begins on March 21.
An online course schedule of classes is available on the Internet at www.nwosu.edu/course-schedules. Printed copies of the schedule are available at the registrar’s offices in Alva and Enid and at the main office in Woodward. Enrollment for the fall semester ends Aug. 23.
To enroll for any semester at Northwestern, all first-time freshmen and transfer students first must be admitted to the university, then obtain a class schedule and enrollment form, complete the form with an adviser and obtain the adviser’s signature prior to completing the enrollment process. The enrollment process must be completed in the registrar’s office.
Each first-year freshman must enroll in one of the Ranger Connection classes. This class is designed to help students connect to and learn more about the university. Ranger Connection classes are listed under University Studies in the fall schedule.
Current students also must enroll through the registrar’s office except for those pre-approved by their advisers to enroll online.
Students admitted to the Graduate School may enroll in person or online using the RangerNet system on the Northwestern web site. Students enrolling in graduate courses for the first time at Northwestern must enroll in person.
Regular office hours at the Alva and Woodward campuses are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Administrative office hours at Enid are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
Payment for summer session classes are due on June 1 or June 29 depending on what class section a student enrolls. Payment for fall tuition and fees is due on or before Aug. 15. Students expecting financial aid funds to cover costs must have an award letter on file in the financial aid office.
