Classes begin on Aug. 18 at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and students who have not done so already are encouraged to complete the enrollment process as soon as possible, said Dr. Steve Lohmann, executive vice president.
All first-time and transfer students first must be admitted to the university, then obtain a class schedule and enrollment form, complete the form with an adviser and obtain the adviser’s signature prior to completing the enrollment process. A schedule of fall semester classes is available on the Internet at www.nwosu.edu/schedule.
On the Alva campus, all new undergraduate students are required to enroll at the Registry Office in Herod Hall. Regular semester hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning Aug. 4 with an extended closing time of 6 p.m., Aug. 18-21. The Alva bookstore will be open the same hours.
Enrollment at Northwestern-Enid, 2929 E. Randolph, will be processed at the Registration Office. Regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday only, resume Aug. 4. The Enid bookstore will be open the same hours.
Northwestern-Woodward also will process enrollment at its campus office located at 2220 Oklahoma Ave. (second floor, First American Bank building). The university is planning to relocate to its new facility at 2007 34th St., although the date for the move has not been determined. Students should call ahead for location information before enrolling. Regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, will begin Aug. 4. Office hours will be extended to 6 p.m., Aug. 18-21.
Books may be ordered online at www.efollett.com. Students may have books sent from Alva to the Woodward campus at no additional charge, or shipped to a specified address for an additional shipping charge.
All first-year freshmen must enroll in one of the Ranger Connection classes. Students who have decided on a major field of study are encouraged to select a section that is taught by an instructor related to that field. Ranger Connection classes are listed under University Studies in the fall schedule.
Students admitted to the Graduate School may enroll in person or online using the Student Information System (SIS) link on the Northwestern web site. Those graduate students will need their social security and PIN numbers. Students enrolling in graduate courses for the first time at Northwestern must enroll in person.
Payment for fall tuition and fees is due Aug. 18. Students expecting financial aid funds to cover fall costs must have an award letter on file in the financial aid office by that date.
Freshman Orientation activities will take place from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, in Herod Hall Auditorium on the Alva campus. The session is required for all freshmen.
Students with enrollment questions may call the Alva Registry Office at (580) 327-8552, the Enid Registration Office at (580) 237-0334 or the main office in Woodward at (580) 256-0047.
