    August 23, 2016 – Northwestern Oklahoma State University is welcoming its first Fulbright Scholarship student into the Master of Arts in American Studies program at the start of the fall 2016 term.

  • Master's degree in American Studies available at Northwestern

    July 23, 2015 -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University recently added a new graduate program to its lineup for students who hold undergraduate degrees in the humanities and social sciences. The Master of Arts degree in American Studies is one of only two such graduate programs offered in Oklahoma and will let students use northwest Oklahoma to understand larger cultural issues in the United States.

  • Graduate course to take students 'On the Road Again'

    November 6, 2014 -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Office of Graduate Studies has added a new class to the Spring 2015 schedule for its Master of Arts in American Studies degree program that will take the students “On the Road Again.” “The Road as Icon in and for the American Experience,” AMST 5180, will be taught by Dr. Clarence Johnson, an adjunct instructor at Northwestern who also teaches undergraduate courses in English.

  • English program sponsors poetry reading

    October 1, 2013-- Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Department of English, Foreign Language, and Humanities is sponsoring the Fall 2013 poetry readings. Tonight the visiting poet for the American Studies program is Jeanetta Calhoun Mish at 7 p.m. at the Graceful Arts Center.
