Creative and Critical Readings

The English Department is pleased to present a reading by Marcia Preston on Wed., March 23, at 7 p.m. in the Alabaster Room (3rd floor of Vinson Hall). Preston is an Oklahoma author whose mystery novels have been nominated for the Mary Higgins Clark Award for suspense fiction (winner, 2004), Oklahoma Book Award in Fiction (winner, 2004), Macavity Award, and Barry Award for mystery fiction.

The next installment of the Reading Out Loud Series is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1, at Grateful Arts Gallery and Studios (523 Barnes St.). Members of the Writers' Roundtable will read selections from their creative writings, including poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. Contact Mrs. Dawn Allen for more information.

Welcome to the Department of English, Foreign Language, and Humanities

The Department of English, Foreign Language, and Humanities offers a broad range of courses leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree in English, English Education, or Spanish. Students may also pursue a minor in English, Writing, or Spanish. 

Students may become involved in the Spanish Club, Sigma Delta Pi, and Sigma Tau Delta, organizations that promote the study of language and literature.
